Psychotherapy

There are times in life when our usual ways of coping no longer seem to work. You may feel anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected from yourself, or uncertain about the direction your life is taking. Perhaps relationships feel difficult, old patterns keep repeating, or despite outward success something doesn’t feel quite right within.

Psychotherapy offers a space to slow down, reflect, and explore what lies beneath these experiences.

I offer a warm, confidential, and compassionate environment where we can work together to understand the deeper patterns shaping your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and sense of self. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, psychotherapy invites us to explore the underlying causes of distress and the possibilities for lasting change.

My approach is integrative, drawing on psychodynamic, existential, Jungian, transpersonal, and relational perspectives. This means I tailor therapy to your individual needs rather than working within a single model. Together, we will explore your unique experiences, history, values, relationships, and aspirations.

Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, capable individuals who have spent much of their lives meeting the needs of others or striving to meet high expectations. Often they find themselves struggling with anxiety, self-criticism, perfectionism, people-pleasing, low self-worth, or a persistent feeling of not being enough.

I have a particular interest in developmental and relational trauma. Early experiences of emotional neglect, criticism, inconsistency, or a lack of emotional safety can shape how we relate to ourselves and others long into adulthood. These patterns often operate outside our conscious awareness and can influence our relationships, confidence, emotional wellbeing, and capacity to live fully.

Therapy can help you to:

  • Develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your life story
  • Heal the impact of developmental and relational trauma
  • Build greater self-compassion and emotional resilience
  • Understand and change unhelpful patterns of thinking and behaviour
  • Improve relationships and communication
  • Navigate life transitions, loss, and uncertainty
  • Reconnect with a sense of meaning, purpose, and authenticity

I believe that lasting change begins with awareness. As we bring unconscious patterns into consciousness, we create the possibility for greater freedom, choice, and connection.

Finding the right therapist matters. I offer a free 30-minute consultation where we can explore what brings you to therapy and whether we feel like a good fit to work together.
